See the cash-flow problem while you can still do something about it

Most small businesses do not fail because they are unprofitable. They fail because the money arrives three weeks after it was needed. Bellwether connects to your bank and your invoicing, and shows you one thing: what your balance looks like for the next thirteen weeks, given what you already know. Not a forecast built on hope — a forecast built on the invoices you have actually sent and the bills that are actually due. It will not make you more money. It will tell you, in October, about the problem you would otherwise have discovered in December.

Everything you need to run your books.

Well everything you need if you aren't that picky about minor details like tax compliance.

The horizon a small business can actually act on. Far enough to change course, close enough that the numbers are real rather than aspirational.

Simplify everyday business tasks.

Because you'd probably be a little confused if we suggested you complicate your everyday business tasks instead.

Scenarios

Ask the awkward question before you have to live it

What if the biggest customer pays thirty days late? What if I hire in March instead of June? Change one thing and watch thirteen weeks rearrange themselves.

Chase

The overdue invoices, ranked by how much they hurt

Not just who owes you — who owes you money you are counting on in week four. Chasing is triage, and most tools sort by date instead of by damage.

The Monday note

One short email, every week, that you will actually read

What changed, what is coming, and whether you still need to worry. If nothing changed, it says so in one line and does not waste your morning.

    • It showed me a red week in November while it was still September. We moved one payment and chased two invoices and the red week simply never happened. I do not know what I would have done in November.

    • I had a spreadsheet that did this. It was wrong, and worse, I trusted it.

    Frequently asked questions

If you can't find what you're looking for, email our support team and we will get back to you within one business day.

      • Is this accounting software?

No. It reads from your accounting software and your bank; it does not replace either. If you are looking for something to do your books, this is the wrong product and we would rather you knew now.

      • Is my banking data safe?

We connect read-only through your bank's own open-banking API. Bellwether cannot move money, and we could not initiate a payment if we wanted to — the permission simply does not exist on our connection.

      • Why thirteen weeks?

It is a quarter, and it is the horizon where a small business can still change the outcome. Twelve months of forecast for a company with three months of runway is a story, not a tool.

      • What if my forecast looks terrible?

Then you have found out in time, which was the entire point. The uncomfortable version of this product is the useful one.
