The Ardwick Playhouse

Four hundred and twelve seats, two hundred and ten performances a year, and a building from 1904 that has opinions about all of it. This is where anyone working in the house — box office, stage crew, front of house, the workshop — puts a job that somebody else has to do. If it is not on here it is not happening, which is a rule we adopted after the interval bell went unrepaired for a fortnight because three people had each mentioned it to someone.

Before you start

  • Do not raise a job for anything on the fly floor this week

The counterweight system is being inspected until Friday and the whole floor is closed. Anything up there waits. If it genuinely cannot wait, find Marguerite in person rather than putting it on here.

  • Photographs help more than you think

Half the jobs that come back as "cannot reproduce" are a description of a noise. If you can hear it, record it. If you can see it, photograph it. The workshop cannot come and stand where you were standing at the time.
